It is with great sadness that we mark the unexpected death of Dr Neil Adams from the Bureau of Meteorology. Neil was a colleague of the ACE CRC and a respected and well-loved member of the whole Antarctic community. He had a formal association with the ACE CRC from the early 1990s until 2010, and since then, as an honorary ACE Fellow, he worked closely with many of us and played a big role in supervising ACE students. As an Antarctic meteorologist, Neil played a central role in providing services to the Australian Antarctic program over many years.
On behalf of all of the ACE CRC I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to all his family and friends. We will miss him.
