Antarctic ice shelves thinned rapidly in last decade


PM (ABC): The ice surrounding Antarctica has thinned rapidly in the last decade, and much faster than scientists had thought. A new study looked at satellite data going back to 1994, and it showed that some Antarctic ice shelves had melted by almost 20 per cent.
